Successfully ran 20 miles this morning, in 3 hrs 30min and 15 seconds! No cramps along the way... just 2 blisters on the left foot and one on the right. Not bad!
Critter count:
- 1 armadillo
- at least a dozen dogs
- scores and scores of deer! Babies too!

New Personal Record on July 7!
Set out for my first long run on a monday morning... ran 18 miles in 2:58! No blisters, no cramps... awesome run!
Legs did tighten up a lot afterwards... really had to do some serious stretching.

Getting faster!
Thought I'd step it up this morning on my run... it was a cool 59 degrees out, which was ideal for zooming.
Did my 4 mile loop in 31:07, or about 7:47/mile! Think this is my best yet.
Last year Cathy and I did the Bat Run 5k, which I completed in ~34min. We're doing a 5k this weekend, and I'm shooting for 25min.
That's all for now!

Van Halen Concert Jan 24, 2008
Here's some footage from the Van Halen concert we hit in San Antonio. Thought of mom often, as David Lee Roth screamed (ahhh... the memories of mom sharing how much she hates this music!). Last saw this concert in the late 80's with Paul Saunders at the Cincinnati Coloseum. We had the worst seats in the entire place... I was literally against the back wall in the nose bleed seats.
Seats were a bit better this time.
Enjoy!

First Entry - and First 1/2 Marathon!
Just finished my first 1/2 marathon... the 3M 1/2 marathon, starting in the Arboretum and ending downtown at Waterloo park. Ran it in 2:02:18 or 9:20/mile on average. I'm totally psyched!
Definitely looking to do a marathon this year... think this is a good habit to be forming.
